Meteorologists predict that the temperature will drop further if it rains in the next 48 hours

Scattered heavy rain is forecast in most districts of South Bengal today and tomorrow. Scattered light to moderate thundershowers will occur over rest of South Bengal districts. The amount of rain will gradually increase.

South Bengal districts, including Kolkata, may see a drop of at least 5 degrees Celsius in the next three days. Already, due to cloudy skies, the day temperature has dropped below normal in several districts. The night temperature is above normal due to cloudy sky in South Bengal.
