A group of traders seized vegetables

A group of traders of Khwairamband Keithel who work along with Manipur Women’s Federation (MWF) seized vegetables brought from Kuki dominated areas for sale in Imphal, said one of the traders Khwairakpam Manitombi. Actually speaking to the media at Thongju Boroi Makhong today, Manitombi said that the vegetables which included yongchak, U-Morok and kidney beans were seized from around 20 traders from near Kasturi Bridge.

Actually MWF is affiliated with the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS). She also appealed to all Meiteis to not engage in any business activity with Kuki people. She said that the seized vegetables will be given to relief camps. Actually this type of activity happens many time and people need to be very careful so that no conflict happens. Today vegetables are very important for our society as nobody can survive without food and people should not waste it so that everyone gets proper food. In reality today people need peace and it is actually good that seized vegetables are not wasted.
