Bratya Basu reacts to the guideline issued by Raj Bhavan on financial expenditure

State universities have to take the approval of the Acharya and the Governor for any financial expenditure. Raj Bhavan has issued guidelines in this regard. This letter was given in complete darkness. Education Minister Bratya Basu said that he got to know from the vice-chancellors.
The letter about which there is so much controversy has no legal validity. The education minister himself is demanding. He is also demanding to withdraw. Not only that, he is directly contradicting the governor by talking about good relations. Even talking about the old governors, they are mocking the present one. On this day, the education minister said, ‘The relationship of the governor with the state government is that of a competitor and not a partner. The state ranks high in every UGC survey. We do not want any rivalry, we want to work on the basis of cooperation. There are doubts about the legal validity of the Governor’s letter. Clearly state what the governor wants to say or express it in action. It has been said in the press conference that we want to work together. This letter is not in line with the direction of that press conference. I have asked the principal secretary of the education department to see what resources are there in the law.
