Two 33/11 KV Substations were inaugurated in Wangoi&Yairipok, Manipur as part of ‘AzadikaAmritMahotsav’ by Shri Th. Biswajit Singh, Hon’ble Minister ofPublic Works Department, Rural Development &Panchayati Raj, Commerce & Industries, Power, Administrative Reforms & Training, Information & Public Relations.
The inauguration ceremony began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries which was followed by a cultural performance by the local artists showcasing Manipur’s rich tribal and cultural heritage commemorating the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence. The LOA cost of the Wangoi substation is Rs 8.42 crores, the LOA cost of Yairipok substation is Rs 9.32 crores. The inauguration of these sub-stations will benefit close to 3000 households in both of these areas, thereby improving the quality of power supply and reducing the AT&C losses in these areas.
