In a significant breakthrough, recently the police successfully arrested one individual with a substantial quantity of brown sugar in Panitanki. The arrested accused has been identified as Abhijit Biswa Karmakar (36), a resident of Huchai Mallick Jote in Hatighisa. According to reports, on Monday night, the Panitanki Outpost officials of the Kharibari police station actually launched an operation in the area and halted a two-wheeler heading from Uttar Ramdhan Jote based on suspicion. In fact during the search, the officials recovered 305 grams of brown sugar from the individual riding the motorcycle.
Actually police sources revealed that the recovered brown sugar was transported from Naxalbari to be smuggled into Panitanki. On Tuesday, the accused has been produced before the Siliguri District Court while further investigation is actually underway. This is actually very bad incident and people should take it very seriously as it is very bad for people specially the youth.
