Actor and politician Sarathkumar, who has acted in more than 130 films, including Malayalam, has been hospitalized after complaining of illness.
The actor is said to be undergoing treatment at a leading private hospital in Chennai. According to reports, the actor complained of dehydration after which his health deteriorated.
His wife Radhika who is an actor and daughter Varalaxmi also accompanied the actor to the hospital, where he has been kept under special observation.
The actor, who is most active in Tamil and Telugu films, will soon be seen in ‘Vaarisu’, which stars Vijay in the lead role. The film will hit theaters during Pongal.
Last year, Sarathkumar was in the news after he was hospitalized after contracting Covid. The actor, who has won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare South Awards, is a politician who has served as MLA from Tenkasi constituency.
