Mustafizur Rahman enjoys playing in IPL more than Bangladesh

Mustafizur Rahman is the only Bangladeshi cricketer in the current IPL. He played for Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team, the Chennai Super Kings. According to his teammate Shariful Islam, Mustafizur loves playing in the IPL more than playing for Bangladesh. Bangladesh pacer Shariful opened up about Mustafizur in an interview. He said, “I think Mustafizur loves playing in the IPL more than playing for Bangladesh. Maybe there is less pressure.

That’s why the game can be enjoyed. Expectations are high when playing for Bangladesh. That pressure often makes the game worse.” Although Shariful did not play in the IPL, he said that he is in regular contact with Mustafizur. Sharifur said, “I have watched every match of Mustafizur. I spoke to him after the match.”

Mustafizur has played several good matches for Bangladesh. But recently, he could not play well in a few matches. Shariful also opened up about that. He said, “Mustafizur has consistently played well for Bangladesh. Maybe he could not do it in the last 2-3 matches. Mistakes are often made under pressure. Because Mustafizur has played well, fans have high expectations of him. He could not bowl as expected in the last 2–3 matches. That does not make him a bad bowler.”

Mustafizur has played six matches for Chennai in the current IPL. He bowled 24 overs. It took 11 wickets. Mustafizur took the most wickets for Chennai. This left-handed pacer gave up 9.41 runs per over. His best bowling was 4 wickets for 29 runs. He is ranked sixth on the purple hat list.
