Lenovo and Meghshala Trust extended the Meghshala program

The global technology leader Lenovo and an EdTech not-for-profit organization Meghshala Trust have extended the Meghshala program to another 100 schools in Meghalaya taking the total to 200+ with the support of the Department of Education, Meghalaya, and the State Education Mission Authority & Directorate of School Education and Literacy, Shillong, Meghalaya. This program provides accessible digitized STEM content to build a STEM mindset ground up.

Over 55% of Meghshala lesson usage in Meghalaya is from the secondary grades. 25% of the students assessed from Meghshala intervention classrooms in Meghalaya have scored 60% and an avg of 20% of students have scored distinction in knowledge, understanding, and application-based questions. 200+ lessons voiced over in Garo were made available on the Youtube channel ‘Meghshala Meghalaya’ for public access. 18 training sessions were conducted throughout the program between July 2020 and February 2022 – 12 online training sessions and 6 physical training sessions. 8 webinars were conducted during the lockdowns to train teachers on lessons voiceovers and conducting effective online classrooms. Lenovo’s EdTech Classroom Intervention with Meghshala Teacher Enablement Program aimed at developing learners’ talents. Meghshala-Lenovo program aimed to work with 100 schools, impacting 200+ teachers and 7000+ students. Lenovo has supported Meghshala with technology infrastructures such as devices in schools with over 1500 tablets, 25 laptops, and 450 smartphones. The Meghshala App currently has over 28,000 hours of usage. Meghshala created a classroom recovery program to help teachers and students.
