India climbs 72 places in mobile download speed; outclasses UK, Japan, Brazil

The launch of 5G services in India, helped  surpassing the developed countries like UK, Japan and Brazil in global mobile speed ranking according to the reports of Ookla.

With the help of 5G services India’s speed performance has increased by 3.59 times.

As per the reports of Ookla India’s rank has moved from 119th to 47th this year with a download speed of 50.21 Mbps.

India is also at the top in comparison with  its neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, as well as G20 countries, such as South Africa (48th place), Brazil (50th place), Japan (58th), the UK (62nd), Turkey (68th) and Mexico (90th).
