In Siliguri two people were arrested with 50 bottles of banned cough syrup

In Siliguri on 27th November the police of Ashighar Outpost under the jurisdiction of Bhaktinagar police station launched an operation near Tharughati at Sahu River Bridge adjacent to Baikunthapur forest and apprehended two suspects with banned cough syrup. The police also retrieved the motorcycle utilized in the act. The arrested accused are Sanjay Singh and Padma Singh both residents of Naxalbari. Actually both suspects were on the motorcycle to sell the intoxicated substances. Upon search police found 50 bottles of banned cough syrup. As per the police sources the market value of the recovered cough syrup is about 11 thousand rupees. The accused have been involved in the illegal business for a long time and currently the police are engaged in detailed investigation of the incident.

These types of incident are very bad and it is very sad to see this happen. By this type of incident specially the youth are effected and make harm to the society. People should be very strict on this type of incident as ultimately it will harm them. Police should be very strict against this type of people as from this many big problem will come. It is actually very shameful to see that for money they are doing this type of big crime. We should not support this type of activity and make our society free from crimes.
