In a recent development, a drug trafficker has been arrested with brown sugar. The arrested accused has been identified as Amjad Ali, a resident of Atal in Naxalbari. As per the reports, acting on a tip-off, the cops of Bagdogra police station launched an operation in the area adjacent to Singhia Jhora Tea Estate of Bagdogra and apprehended the drug trafficker. Actually upon initiating a search, 91 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession, which prompted the arrest.
Actually the market value of the intoxicated substances is stated to be in lakhs. In fact the accused will be produced before the Siliguri court on Saturday.
