IACP 2022 Award to ‘Nijaat’

International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the US-based alinement has hand-picked the anti-drug & illicit liquor campaign ‘Nijaat’ of Chhattisgarh police for ‘Leadership in Crime Prevention’ award within the institutional class. The celebrated IACP 2022 Award has hand-picked the de-addiction drive ‘Nijaat’, that was dead following the directive by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel to act powerful against drug peddlers, and bootleggers and check to importing of medicine. A triple-crown singular campaign, ‘Nijaat’ witnessed the placing results to realize a sober society with missionary zeal.

The campaign was launched by the Chhattisgarh police underneath the leadership of the IPS officer Santosh Kumar Singh who pioneered the drive with intense efforts in districts of Choson, Rajnandgaon and presently continued in Korba. The drive took the load to wipe out the abuse of illicit medicine, narcotics and bootlegging whereas at the same time preventing its importing or commerce. The district police, wherever the campaign was launched, pursued a three-pronged strategy: powerful action against businesses of illegal medicine or narcotics, high-spirit public awareness, and increasing support in counseling & rehabilitation as a de-addiction engagement method.
