To the relief of construction workers in Delhi, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday that the Kejriwal government has decided to provide free bus passes for their daily commute.
Sisodia distributed free passes to some construction workers at a function organized at the Delhi Secretariat.
He said, “One million workers have been registered in Delhi. In the past one year, the Kejriwal government has distributed Rs 600 crore (under various welfare schemes) among 10 lakh registered workers, the highest amount distributed among workers in the entire country.
Sisodia asked the workers to spend the money they would save due to free bus passes for their families and not waste it on anything else.
