Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023 drives the biggest opening ever

Amazon India witnessed the biggest ever 48 hours of shopping with a record 9.5 crore customer visits. Prime members shopping spiked 18x in the first 24 hours of PEA (vs average daily purchase), making it the highest ever! With thousands of sellers achieving their highest-ever single day sales, it was the best-ever start to their festive season. Over 5,000 new launches were made across various categories, including smartphones, laptops, TVs, fashion, home décor, appliances, furniture, and groceries, offering customers the widest ever selection from top brands.

Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023 saw 9.5 crore customers visit in the first 48 hours, with the highest number of Prime members shopping. Over 80% of customers came from non-metro cities, and over 10 lakh received same-day delivery.

The event saw a 35% increase in small and medium businesses securing sales. Popular smartphone brands included OnePlus, Samsung, and Apple. Amazon Pay UPI saw the highest sign-ups in the first 48 hours, with over 35 crore Indians accessing Instant Bank Discount offers.
