Recently the newly launched Vande Bharat Express and the Shatabdi Express plying from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Howrah will be running at an increased speed at around 130 km per hour. Significantly on this Sunday the train’s trial run was successfully conducted. As per reports, previously run at a slower speed, the Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat Express will now proceed to run at its own pace. Actually the work of the high-speed line from NJP to Malda has been completed and subsequently, its trial run was conducted. Earlier on this Sunday a 26-coach special train left NJP for Malda. Special precautions were taken by the Railways for the trial run of the high-speed special train.
