Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora upped the glam quotient at filmmaker Karan Johar’s 50th birthday bash in Mumbai on May 25. The Bollywood actress arrived with her husband Saif Ali Khan at the star-studded evening while the Arora sisters arrived separately The trio is considered to turn heads with their elegant outings and they did exactly the same when they arrived in elegant western outfits at Karan’s bash.
However, some net trolls made a nasty comment on a picture of Kareena, Malaika and Amrita which triggered a savage response from the Lal Singh Chadha actress. Kareena posted a picture from the party and captioned it, “This is us.” In the pictures, Kareena wears a silver one-piece celebration dress, Amrita sports a checkered party dress with statement sleeves and Malaika opts for a neon green blazer which she teams with a bralette, shorts and purple high heels.
Commenting on the picture, one social media user wrote, “3 wits”. In response, Kareena hit back and said, “I keep seeing it in the comments! If and when I bother to check, unless it comes up. So… intelligence is supposed to insult? To me it’s just a word… a word that’s potentially outdated. Yes we are old and wise but you are nameless, faceless, ageless? And so you folks? (sic)”
Separately, Amrita lashed out at trolls for commenting on their outfit choices. She wrote, “Also totally disgusted with my weight gain! I own it too! I love it. My weight, my problem. Since when has everything become everyone’s issue? Oh yes, the basis social media gives… I provide zero f’sss… so please carry on and I will headline and shame. Ha (sic).”
“On the work front, Kareena will play Lal Singh Chadha opposite Aamir Khan. The trailer will be launched on May 29 during the IPL match. He’s also shooting for his Netflix debut, an adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X. It is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-stars Jaydeep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
