Siliguri: A 21-year-old youth named Kamal Das allegedly committed killed themself in Tikia Para area of Siliguri, leaving the local community in a state of grief and shock.
According to local sources, Kamal, who worked as a driver and had quit his studies a few years ago, was found hanging from a drain in front of his house. His family and neighbours said that there was no trouble or tension in the family, making the incident even more mysterious.
Upon receiving information, Siliguri police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Siliguri District Hospital for post-mortem. The exact cause behind the tragic incident is yet unknown. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
