Fulbari, 09 July (Retd.). There is an atmosphere of mourning in Phulbari after the tragic death of a young man after falling from the roof of a house under construction. The deceased has been identified as Shahzad Ali (22), resident of Mamta Pada area under Fulbari-2 Gram Panchayat.
According to reports, Shahzad, the eldest of Mohammad Haq’s six children, was the sole breadwinner of the family as a labourer. However, the unfortunate incident occurred on Monday when he was working with other people on the rooftop of a building in Babupara.
Sources say that Shahzad suffered serious injuries due to the sudden fall. Despite being taken to Siliguri District Hospital as his condition was critical, the medical personnel declared him dead.
