India Yamaha Motor (IYM) revs up the excitement in the premium motorcycle segment with the launch of the highly anticipated Yamaha R3 and MT-03 models. As part of the ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand campaign, these two bikes bring Yamaha’s racing DNA to the Indian market, catering to the expectations of riding enthusiasts seeking a pure motorcycling experience.The R3, a supersport bike, boasts R1-inspired looks and a track-oriented design, promising excellent riding confidence and quick-revving performance. On the other hand, the MT-03, a street fighter, showcases Yamaha’s bold MT look with a distinctive front face design, targeting riders seeking torque and agility.
Both motorcycles feature a 321cc liquid-cooled engine, Upside Down Front Forks, LCD instrument clusters, LED headlights, taillights, and indicators. The bikes will be imported as Completely Built-Up Units (CBUs) and exclusively sold through select Blue Square showrooms.Mr. Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, expressed excitement about introducing these models to elevate the riding experience of Indian customers. The R3, with its YZR-M1 genetic links, promises a thrilling ride, while the MT-03’s audacious design attracts those craving torque.
The R3 and MT-03, priced at Rs. 4,64,900 and Rs. 4,59,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, will be available for booking on Yamaha’s website from December 15, 2023. Yamaha aims to further nurture the premium motorcycle segment in India, combining cutting-edge technology and innovation to captivate the interest of young riders.
