World Water Day: QNET India stresses need for healthier hydration with KENT-QNET RO Purifier

On the occasion of World Water Day, QNET India has underscored the importance of healthier hydration by advocating the adoption of alkaline-mineral water in Indian households. Partnering with KENT, the company is promoting the KENT-QNET SMART water purifier, which combines Alkaline-Mineral and advanced RO technology to ensure safer and healthier drinking water.

Alkaline-mineral water, known for its higher pH levels, offers several health benefits, including better hydration, improved digestion, and essential mineral retention. According to Nischal C, Head of Corporate Communications, QNET India Region, concerns over water quality are growing nationwide. A 2024 Local Circles survey found that only 4% of Indian households receive drinkable water directly from local authorities, while 60% rely on filtration mechanisms due to concerns over contaminants and high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels.

In Kolkata, certain suburban areas report groundwater TDS levels between 900 to 2,200 ppm, attributed to saline water intrusion from the Bay of Bengal and human activities. The KENT-QNET SMART purifier is positioned as an effective solution to remove harmful impurities like arsenic, rust, bacteria, and viruses, ensuring cleaner drinking water. Highlighting the environmental impact, QNET also noted that using advanced purifiers reduces dependence on bottled water, helping curb plastic waste. World Water Day serves as a reminder for individuals and communities to adopt sustainable and health-conscious water consumption practices.
