Medical department, Peren organised a workshop for media persons on COVID-19 vaccine on January 25 at CHC Jalukie, with CMO office Peren media officer, Celine Sechü as the resource person.
According to DIPR report, Celine said that COVID-19 vaccine was safe and effective and boosts immunity and it would be available in a phased manner. She said that an individual will receive 2 doses each and there will be a gap of 28 days between the two doses of COVID-19 vaccine. She said media should educate the public even at the grassroot level with right messages about the new vaccine and its processes.
She also spoke on vaccine eagerness and COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) where she said that currently there was eagerness among the public on the vaccine and for receiving it and hence it was the responsibility of the media persons to disseminate transparent or appropriate information to the general public. Programme was attended by staffs of IEC and DPRO Peren.
