Women workers account for 25 percent of the total workforce on average in the nationalised banks in India. The data published by the Ministry of Finance in the Lok Sabha today, revealed that the largest Public Sector Bank– SBI, has 26.7 percent women employees, Indian Overseas Bank has a maximum 36 percent women staff whereas PNB consists of 24 percent women workers in their total staff strength.
