Siliguri, 04 June (Retd): After enduring domestic harassment for a long time, a woman from Siliguri lodged a complaint at the women’s police station and took action against her husband. The police immediately arrested the accused husband, predictable as Manoj Pal (31).
Reportedly, Manoj Pal, an inhabitant of Bharat Nagar area under Ward No. 24 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC), Married to Mampi Das in 2016. The couple have two children. Originally, their marriage seemed stable, but fights soon began to emerge.
Mampi Das accused Manoj Pal of physically abusing her over small things, with the seriousness of his actions increasing with time. Unable to tolerate the neglect any longer, Mampi Das filed a written complaint on May 30, in which she detailed the domestic violence she faced.
After the complaint, Mahila Thana police started investigation and arrested Manoj Pal on Sunday. He was produced in Siliguri court on Monday i.e. today. Police are continuing the enquiry of the case.
