Mamata Banerjee thanked the voters as the TMC came close to winning the by-elections held in Asansol and Ballygunge in Bengal. TMC’s Shatrughan Sinha is leading in Asansol seat by 1,02,000 votes, Babul Supriyo is also ahead in the Ballygunge seat.

Counting is underway for one Lok Sabha seat in Bengal’s Asansol and four assembly seats in Ballyganj in Bengal, Khairagarh in Chhattisgarh, Bochahan in Bihar and Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
