Siliguri: Water supply to Champasari and surrounding areas was disrupted after a pipeline burst due to ongoing four-lane construction work near the Regulated Market area on Tuesday morning.
Water started gushing out from the damaged pipeline at high pressure, causing inconvenience to pedestrians and local residents. The leakage severely affected drinking water supply in the entire area.
Repair work of the pipeline has been started to restore normal flow of water.
