‘Virat Kohli remains relaxed and positive, that hundred will come soon’

Childhood Coach Raj Kumar Sharma mentioned “Virat Kohli stayed in a relaxed state of mind as it is just a matter of time before getting that Hundred.”

Kohli has been obtaining starts and half-centuries frequently, however it has not been added to his 70 hundreds in more than 2 years.

Questions are being raised over his form but coach Raj Kumar Sharma feels they are not valid ones as he continues to score runs.

“I feel people who are questioning his form should look at his stats. After watching that they will find it tough to criticise him. People should realise that he is playing brilliantly and it is just a matter of time before he plays a big innings. He is very positive and very relaxed and soon we will have a big one from him,” Sharma said to media.

He is also the coach of the Delhi team and is currently with the Ranji Trophy squad in Guwahati. Yash Dhull, hailing from West Delhi, playing like Kohli has earned his maiden call-up after leading India to the U-19 World Cup trophy.

Red Ball cricket has not been played by the 19 years old in a long time, though Sharma feels ready for it. He might be the opener in Delhi beginning on Thursday.

“Batting position of Yash Dhull have not yet been decided. We will decide after watching the wicket. He is quite a mature talent. Last year also he was a Ranji prospect, he is ready. With his experience, he will learn a lot,” said Sharma.

Delhi had their first training session on Tuesday after five days in quarantine.

“It is a great thing that red-ball cricket is starting. Players have suffered a lot in the last two years both financially and skill wise.

They all are looking forward to the challenge,” he added to his statement.

The side is led by Pradeep Sangwan.
