Vodafone Idea (Vi) has emerged as the leader in 4G network experience in Kolkata and West Bengal circles, according to Opensignal’s November 2024 4G Network Experience Report. The telecom giant topped the charts in key performance categories, including Data, Voice, Video, and Gaming, offering superior connectivity to users across diverse regions.
In Siliguri, Vi’s strong network presence is evident, as the operator has enhanced 4G capacity by adding new sites and optimizing its spectrum. This improvement has led to faster internet speeds and better coverage, even in the city’s more densely populated areas. Vi’s commitment to delivering a robust 4G experience has helped solidify its position as the preferred telecom provider in the region.
The report also highlights Vi’s consistent efforts to improve network performance across West Bengal and Sikkim, including the challenging terrains of North Bengal. The operator’s extensive network infrastructure, supported by over 12,000 4G sites and new spectrum additions, ensures seamless connectivity for users, from urban hubs to remote locations. Vi’s planned addition of 1,000 more sites will further strengthen its position in the market.
