Launched in collaboration with CareGame, a renowned cloud gaming company based in Europe, the service marks a significant milestone in the country’s rapidly expanding gaming industry.
Cloud Play offers an instant and superior gaming experience on both Android and iOS handsets, eliminating the need for cumbersome downloads. Available through a ‘Try n Buy’ model, users can enjoy a free trial period before opting for a subscription. Priced at ₹100 per month (with a ₹104 recharge option for prepaid users), the service provides access to a diverse selection of premium AAA games across various genres, including action, adventure, arcade, racing, sports, and strategy.
Avneesh Khosla, CMO of Vodafone Idea, expressed excitement about the launch, emphasizing Vi’s commitment to enhancing customer offerings. He highlighted the potential of the rapidly evolving gaming landscape and emphasized the role of smartphones in making gaming more accessible anytime, anywhere.Philippe Wang, Co-founder and CEO of CareGame, praised the partnership with Vi, stating that Cloud Play will enable gamers in India to enjoy AAA mobile gaming without the need for new devices or gamepads.
