Vi becomes first Indian telecom operator to achieve PCI DSS 4.0 certification

Vi has set a new benchmark in the telecom industry by becoming the first Indian telecom operator to secure Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard version 4.0 (PCI DSS 4.0) certification. This prestigious achievement underscores Vi’s commitment to the highest global security standards for protecting customer payment information.

The PCI DSS 4.0 certification, established by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), introduces the most rigorous security protocols to safeguard against data breaches and fraudulent transactions. As per RBI guidelines, PCI DSS 4.0 compliance is mandatory for banking and financial institutions, marking Vi’s achievement as a significant milestone for the telecom sector.
