The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inaugurated various projects in Fulbari on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the minister laid the foundation stone of a 4 km road from Laxmisthan of Fulbari-2 Gram Panchayat up to Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. The road will be constructed at a cost of about 64 lakh rupees on behalf of the Jalpaiguri District-in-council through the Bangla Gram Sadak Yojana (BGSY).
He also inaugurated the beautification of the park at Bashundhara Awasan in Fulbari-1 gram panchayat. The park was beautified at a cost of around 18 lakh rupees on behalf of SJDA. He also inaugurated the beautification of Shishu Malancha Udyan in Shantipara. Its boundary wall, gate, grill, and play equipment have been constructed at a cost of around 25 lakh rupees on behalf of SJDA.
On the other hand, Deb also inaugurated the tea stalls and drinking water facilities that have been arranged by SJDA at a cost of around 6 lakh rupees in the premises of Sahudangi electric furnace in the same gram panchayat.
Jalpaiguri district-in-council president Uttara Barman, Rajganj BDO NC Sherpa, Jalpaiguri district-in-council member Debashish Pramanik, Fulbari 2 gram panchayat pradhan Dilip Roy, No-1 gram panchayat pradhan Namita Karati and many others were present during the programme.
