Phulbari, Oct 26: Two persons were injured in a head-on collision between a four-wheeler and a dumper in Phulbari. The incident took place at Amdighi area along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway (NH) on Saturday.
According to reports, the four-wheeler was going from Jalpaiguri to Siliguri when it tried to overtake another vehicle near Fulbari. During this, it collided with a dumper coming from the front.
The front portion of the four-wheeler got twisted due to the collision. Two of the four people in the car sustained injuries and were immediately rescued and rushed to a private hospital in Phulbari for treatment.
Soon after receiving the information, officials from the Fulbari Highway Traffic Outpost and New Jalpaiguri Police Station reached the spot. The damaged vehicle has been recovered and police have started investigating the incident.
