On 08th December in a significant breakthrough the Special Operation Group (SOG) and Bhakti Nagar police station arrested two individuals with brown sugar in Siliguri. The arrested accused has been identified as MD Jahangir and Rubel Mia. Rubel is stated to be a resident of Kaliachak in Malda while Jahangir is from Jhankar More in Siliguri. As per reports on Friday evening Rubel arrived at PC Mittal bus terminus in Siliguri traveling in a bus with brown sugar from Kaliachak in Malda. Meanwhile MD Jahangir was already present at the spot to receive the drugs. Upon receiving the news, the SOG launched a joint operation with Bhakti Nagar police station and apprehended both the accused. During the subsequent search 600 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their possession. Subsequently the duo was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Actually this type of incident are very bad as from this substances the youth are mainly effected. People should take this case very seriously and take necessary action if they find this type of activity. Police should also strict against this type of cases and take the right action for solving these problems. Today drug is very serious issue as it has damaged life of many innocent people. We should not take it lightly and not allowed this people to ruin our life.
