Siliguri, April 11: After investigating the case of snatching the bag of a policeman’s wife in Siliguri, the police of NJP police station have arrested two miscreants.
The incident took place on April 9 near Teen Batti Overbridge. According to the report, the wife of policeman Anisur Rahman had gone to her daughter’s house in Shaktigarh.
She was returning to her house in Chunavati in an e-rickshaw at night. During the journey, three miscreants on a bike chased the e-rickshaw and snatched her bag near Teen Batti Overbridge and fled. During this, the woman fell on the road.
After investigation, the police arrested two people named MD Saurav and Anu Sutradhar on Thursday. Both are residents of Shaktigarh area. The police is currently searching for the third miscreant involved in the incident.
