Minister for School & Higher Education, Government of Tripura, Ratanlal Nath graced the fresher’s welcome programme “Novatos-2K21” of ICFAI University Tripura as chief guest on February 24 at the University Campus, Kamalghat.
Dwelling on the loss in economy and education due to sudden break of Covid-19, the minister maintained that the economic loss can be recovered but loss in education cannot be recovered. He emphasized on class room education as destiny of the country is being shaped in its class room. He actively took initiatives to reopen the schools, colleges and Universities in Tripura. He informed that the pre-primary schools will also open very soon.
The minister was happy to note that the ICFAI University Tripura is steadily advancing towards its object to disseminate high quality soft skills, Life skills and placement oriented contemporary education to the students of Tripura and other NE States. He also expressed his happiness to note that the University is presently having a large number of good blends of experienced and highly qualified faculty members in the University. He also urged to the students to become a good citizen with a goal to build their bright future. He tested the quality of students by asking some short quizzes to experience himself how much potentials are there with the ICFAI students.
Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Biplab Halder has welcomed the students who have taken admission into 53 different disciplines during 2020-21 sessions. The programme Novatos is organized every year by the ICFAI University Tripura to welcome the new batch of students joined the University.
