Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently conducted an exclusive test drive of its rugged Hilux Black Edition in Siliguri, showcasing the vehicle’s premium off-road capabilities and bold design upgrades to prospective buyers and auto enthusiasts.
Powered by a 2.8L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 500 Nm of torque and equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission and 4X4 drivetrain, the Hilux Black Edition impressed test drivers with its smooth performance on tough terrains. Key safety features such as 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TC), and Hill Assist Control ensured a secure experience, while features like the Electronic Differential Lock and 700mm water wading capacity highlighted its off-road strength.
The Hilux Black Edition also turned heads with its all-black exterior elements — including a blacked-out front grille, alloy wheels, door handles, and ORVMs — enhancing its rugged yet premium look. The cabin features premium leather seats, dual-zone AC, an eight-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, and a powered driver seat. In Siliguri, the test drive sparked keen interest among adventure lovers, transport operators, and lifestyle vehicle buyers, signaling promising demand for high-performance pickup trucks in the region’s diverse terrain.
