To remove unauthorized shops at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station an operation initiated by the Railway

Siliguri, 22nd December: The Railway actually initiated an operation to remove unauthorized shops at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station. In fact on this Friday several shops situated in the platform area were demolished. With it numerous vendors have been left stranded after the shops were evacuated. According to reports, the Railway department has planned for the beautification of the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Station and the work has commenced. Following this, the Railway department has issued a notice for the removal of shops situated on the platform premises of the station. In response, the vendors have also protested several times regarding the matter. Moreover the vendors had also approached the court. On this day, the shops were demolished in the presence of a huge contingent of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police Force (GRPF). During this, the leaders of the INTTUC stood in support of the vendors.

Today Indian Railways is changing very fast and becoming better with time. Presently transportation from railway becomes first choice of everyone. In many ways this step taken by the Railway is good as it will help to make change. In reality we should support Indian Railways and help them to become better.
