The trailer of The Teacher was released on Monday. Amala Paul is playing the lead role in this upcoming movie. Judging from the trailer, it seems the film revolves around a woman, who falls victim to an online scandal.
In the movie, Amala plays a drill instructor assigned to a school. And she seems to have completed a happy personal life with a caring husband. Just when everything seems perfect, tragedy strikes. A scandalous video, possibly involving her, is going viral. It turned her life upside down. From disappointing the protagonist’s husband to becoming a social pariah, she is put through a wringer. However, unlike typical films that deal with such themes, the female lead actor does not lock herself in a dark room, hoping for a hero to arrive and free her from her current predicament. Instead, she fights for herself and tries to get out of the hole.
Guided by Vivek of Teacher Athiran fame. The film also stars Hakeem Shah, Chemban Vinod Jose, Manju Pillai, Vinita Koshy, IM Vijayan, Prashant Murali, Dinesh Prabhakar, Senthil Krishna and Nandu.
The Teacher hits theaters on December 2.
