In Siliguri on 29th November the Pradhan Nagar Circle team of the Excise Department busted the business of preparing fake liquor and arrested three individuals. The arrested accused has been identified as Rohit Gupta, Jaswant Gupta and Savita Kumari Singh. In addition the team also seized a scooter and a huge quantity of spirit and other raw materials. As per the reports the team under the leadership of Ankur Roy, the Pradhan Nagar Circle-in-charge of the Excise Department in collaboration with Bagdogra Circle launched an operation in Panchanan Colony of Ward No.1 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC). Upon being suspicious of the raid the individuals involved in preparing fake liquor attempted to flee from the spot but still the team arrested three people. On Wednesday all three were produced before the Siliguri court. At present the Pradhan Nagar Circle team of the Excise Department is engaged in a further investigation of the entire matter.
Actually this type of activity is very bad as for money they are taking others life. This fake liquor is very dangerous and it damages health badly if consumed. People of Siliguri should be aware of this activities and should take this very strictly so that in future they don’t get any trouble. Also Police should take this seriously as from this ultimately innocent people life are getting affected.
