ASICS has expanded its roots in the Asia-Pacific region with its first-ever store in Bhutan. ASICS is a Japanese sports performance brand and pioneer in the space. ASICS as a brand has a long heritage in sports and the brand believes that sport has the power to change lives. After successfully opening 60 stores in India in the last 5 years, the brand has paved its way into foreign shores as well.
The new store is located in the heart of the city at Kuenzang Complex, Norzin Lam, Thimphu and will be a part of a multi-brand store – Matsutake Branded Shoes – which offers the consumers various options to choose from. The store will offer a wide range of running, training and core performance sports shoes, apparel and accessories for men and women. “We have continuously ramped our efforts to deliver on our plans for 2020 even though there was a delay in achieving the expansion targets, we have managed to stay undeterred on that path and the new store in Bhutan is testament to the dedication and commitment we strive by at ASICS”, said Mr Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India and South Asia.
