The Center to SC : Enhancing Menstrual hygiene to young and teenage girls

The Center has stated to the Supreme Court that it is committed to enhancing young and teenage girls’ access to menstrual hygiene, but that it is the respective state governments’ responsibility to provide healthcare services because public health is a state matter.
The Health Ministry claimed in a document submitted to the highest court that it had launched awareness-raising campaigns, provided resources for girls nationwide, and held training sessions.
“It is stated that public health is a state concern and the obligation of providing healthcare services is that of respective state governments.
