The 43rd India International Trade Fair commenced at the Bharat Mandap in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, featuring an elaborate opening ceremony. As in previous years, Tripura has made its presence felt at this event. The state’s Industries and Commerce Minister, Santvana Chakma, officially opened the Tripura Pavilion at the Bharat Mandap during the fair, which is scheduled to run from November 14 to November 27. Also in attendance were Sameer Ranjan Ghosh, Chairman of the Tripura Tea Development Corporation, along with officials from various state government departments.
Various departments and autonomous bodies showcased their exhibitions at the Tripura Pavilion, highlighting a range of topics and products produced within the state. Among the prominent participants are the Department of Tourism, the Department of Handloom and Handicrafts, the Non-Timber Forest Products Center of Excellence, the Tripura Tea Development Corporation Limited, TRLM, TULM, TFDPC, and the Rubber Board. The initial five days of the fair will be designated as ‘Business Day.’ There is an expectation that national-level investors will visit the Tripura Pavilion with great interest. It is anticipated that the Tripura Pavilion will significantly contribute by offering essential advice and guidance to motivate investors to increase their investments in Tripura.
