Siliguri, Feb 27: A teacher’s body was found hanging in the rest room of a private school in Hatiadanga area, creating a sensation. A suicide note has also been recovered from the spot. The deceased has been identified as Abhijit Nath (43), who was originally from Dhupguri and was working as a computer teacher and management in the school for the last 10 years.
According to the school management, Abhijit Nath used to commute from Dhupguri to Siliguri every Monday and returned home after class on Friday. The school was closed on Wednesday on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Since he had the keys to the school, he was expected to open the school on Thursday morning. However, after getting no response after calling several times, teachers and parents forcibly opened the rest room, where they found his body hanging.
After the incident, Ashighar Outpost Police was informed. On reaching the spot, they recovered a suicide note along with the body. Police have started investigating the case.
