Swiggy Instamart, India’s leading quick commerce platform, has expanded its operations to 100 cities across the country, driven by growing demand in tier 2 and 3 markets. The company introduced its services in 32 new cities this year, including Raipur, Siliguri, Jodhpur, and Thanjavur, offering 10-minute deliveries for a wide range of products.
With this expansion, millions of new customers can now access over 30,000 products, ranging from groceries and daily essentials to electronics, fashion, and makeup. Swiggy Instamart CEO AmiteshJha highlighted the increasing adoption of quick commerce beyond metro cities, stating, “One in four new users in 2025 came from tier 2 or 3 cities, demonstrating the rising demand for convenience-led retail.”
To support this growth, Swiggy Instamart is launching ‘megapods’, large darkstores spanning 10,000–12,000 sq. ft., which will house up to 50,000 SKUs, significantly expanding product availability. Local brands like Sudha Milk in Patna and Vachan in Raipur will also be accessible, catering to regional preferences. Quick commerce trends show record-breaking purchases, with a single user in Dehradun spending ₹3.34 lakh and Patna becoming the fastest city to cross 1,000 daily orders in just four days.
