Suvendu Adhikari, a BJP leader has asked not to attack Mamata Banerjee

Staff Reporter: According to the recently concluded assembly election, TMC ministers Rajib Banerjee and Adhikari left the party and joined the BJP.

BJP leader Rajib Banerjee on Wednesday (July 7) urged party colleague and West Bengal assembly Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari to stand by people affected by rising petroleum prices rather than targeting Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, who has the people’s mandate to rule the state. Before the recent assembly election, Rajib Banerjee and Adhikari, both ministers in the TMC government, left the party and joined the BJP. Adhikari won the election, although Banerjee ran unsuccessfully.

“Instead of starting an unfair assault on her, try to guarantee that people are not further impacted by the hike in petrol, diesel, and LPG costs,” Banerjee added. Banerjee’s comment is correct, according to TMC spokeswoman Kunal Ghosh. “Rajib is correct in his assessment of the situation. Suvendu Adhikari is wrongfully attacking our leader, who was elected to rule by the people of the state. Furthermore, the BJP has said nothing regarding the skyrocketing rates of gasoline and fuel “added Ghosh. Ghosh, on the other hand, stated that he is unaware of Banerjee’s next political move.

Banerjee has already visited Ghosh and senior TMC leader Partha Chatterjee at their homes, fueling rumors that he will rejoin his old party. However, several TMC workers and officials branded him a “traitor” and declared they were opposed to his return. Banerjee’s appeal came on the same day that BJP MP Saumitra Khan quit as the state party’s youth wing chief and attacked Adhikari, claiming that he tries to take credit for all the saffron camp’s achievements.

“The BJP is known for making several sacrifices and standing behind individuals who have been victims of TMC attacks. It’s possible that some of the newcomers were unaware of this “Ghosh explained to reporters. He claimed that despite being a minister for several years, Banerjee did not object to the increase in electricity tariffs.
