Strict warning of police to lockdown violators in Siliguri

In view of the seriousness of the COVID-19 cases across the country as well as in West Bengal, the government has implemented a partial lockdown, but it is not seen to have much effect in many parts of the state. A similar view is being seen in the Subhash Pally market of Siliguri city. Despite the instructions given by the state government to open shops of essential things during the lockdown to break the chain of COVID-19, the Subhash Pally market seems to be open unopened even after the scheduled time.

All traders are not taking the instructions seriously regarding the opening of shops of essential items during the lockdown from 7am to 10am. On the one hand, the transition of the corona to the city is increasing rapidly. The lockdown is being requested by the government to prevent COVID-19. An awareness campaign is also being run, but somewhere people are not ready to understand it. As soon as the news was received on Sunday, the police reached Subhash Palli market and closed the shops. Also warned to take legal action against the traders who broke the lockdown if this happens in future.
