Naxalbari, October 23: A man has been arrested for repeatedly raping his mentally challenged minor stepdaughter. This incident has created a sensation in the entire Naxalbari area.
According to reports, the accused sexually abused the girl several times taking advantage of his wife’s absence. Upon receiving a complaint from the minor’s grandmother, the Naxalbari police began an investigation and arrested the accused. The accused will be produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Thursday.
It is noteworthy that the minor’s father has died and her mother later remarried the accused. The alleged incidents of sexual harassment have been going on for the last one month. The Naxalbari police is investigating the entire matter thoroughly.
