The Meghalaya Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in collaboration with The MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity Project, successfully organized a State Media Sensitization Workshop on Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0). The workshop was graced by the esteemed presence of Ramkumar S, IAS Mission Director NHM and Dr. Pradeep Haldar, Senior Strategic Advisor, John Snow India. The meeting highlighted the importance of vaccinating eligible children and improving immunity amidst challenges. It involved media representatives, health officials, and community stakeholders, united to support Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0’s success.
IMI 5.0 targets limited vaccination coverage, targeting children and pregnant women excluded from routine vaccinations. Training is conducted to reach unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals, prioritizing children aged 0-5 years. This initiative aims for nationwide Measles & Rubella elimination.
