A middle-aged woman(45years) was thrown from a car on Red Road here on Sunday night. The incident took place at around 11:30 pm on Kolkata’s Red Road.
According to reports, some locals said they saw the woman arguing with a man around 10:45 p.m. The police believe that the woman may have committed suicide.
Police searched on local CCTV footage and found a verbal altercation between the man and the woman who were passing by on Red Road. Police said, “At one point, she was seen sitting on the road even as the man looked on. She then ran towards the bush to return to the road and decided to lie down. A few minutes later, he was run over,”.
As per the report by the police, “The woman was found lying on the road. Apparently, the fourth vehicle hit her, after which three vehicles managed to avoid running over her. The woman died on the spot,”.
When the police sent his body to SSKM Hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. Meanwhile, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are looking for the man who was seen with the woman before her death.
