Sony BBC Earth has launched the fourth edition of its photography contest, Earth In Focus, with the theme ‘One World, Many Frames.’ The contest invites photographers to capture India’s diversity across three categories: Markets: A Vibrant Melting Pot, Ancient Marvels, and Wildlife.
Participants can submit their photographs on the official microsite. The month-long contest will be judged by renowned wildlife photographer Shivang Mehta, a Sony Alpha Ambassador. Top winners will receive a GoPro HERO12 and an opportunity to feature on Sony BBC Earth, with the top 15 also getting exclusive guidance from Mehta through a masterclass.
Rohan Jain, Business Operations Head at Sony Pictures Networks India, highlighted the platform’s mission: “We are thrilled to offer ‘Earth In Focus’ as a stage for photographers to showcase their talent and contribute to our passion for the world.”A vibrant melting pot category is of particular relevance to Kolkata, a city known for its dynamic markets like New Market and Gariahat, which offer a rich tapestry of culture and commerce that photographers can capture.
