Škoda Kylaq clocks 50,000 sales in first year, line-up expansion signals strong growth momentum

Škoda Auto India has reached a key market milestone as its compact SUV Škoda Kylaq completed one year in India with cumulative sales crossing 50,000 units. The model has emerged as a major volume and value driver for the brand, contributing significantly to Škoda Auto India’s record 2025 performance, when the company reported a 107% year-on-year growth.

As part of its strategy to democratise European technology, Škoda has expanded the Kylaq range from four to six variants, now spread across 11 price points. The newly introduced Classic+ variant positions the Kylaq as the most accessible car in its segment to offer a full-fledged torque converter automatic. Feature upgrades across the line-up include electric sunroof, cruise control, Auto IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, multi-function steering wheel and full LED lighting. At the top end, a new Prestige+ variant strengthens the premium offering. Signature and Signature+ trims also receive significant feature enhancements.

On the safety front, the Kylaq continues to lead its segment among ICE vehicles with the highest Bharat NCAP ratings, six airbags as standard, over 25 safety features across all variants and more than 40 in higher trims. The ownership proposition is supported by a four-year standard warranty, roadside assistance and labour-free services.

Commenting on the performance, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the milestone reflects rising customer trust and underlines the brand’s long-term India growth strategy.

In Siliguri, dealers indicate that demand for the Kylaq has been driven by buyers seeking safe, automatic-equipped compact SUVs with strong value positioning. The expanded variant mix, anniversary benefits of up to ₹50,000, 50% off on one-year maintenance packages and assured gifts available till February 28, 2026 are expected to further improve showroom footfalls and strengthen Škoda’s presence in North Bengal’s fast-growing automobile market.
